About Us

The *Raise the Champions* ministry began in 2009 when the Lord spoke to Brother Osama Shawky—after he and his family immigrated to the United States of America, specifically to the state of California, in 2007—about believing families and Christian servants who had emigrated from Arab countries to the United States.

He revealed how God brought many of these families under a divine plan and arrangement to be in the United States, as a kind of “ebb and flow,” meaning a giving back in gratitude to this nation. From the United States, at the beginning of the 19th century, the largest missionary and enlightenment movements were launched toward many Arab countries in the Middle East, having a profound impact on faith and spiritual transformation in the lives of thousands—indeed millions—of souls over the years.

Today, America is in need of new seasons of spiritual revival, a renewed return to the Lord, and a fresh revelation of His name upon the nation, while confronting a state of spiritual imbalance within American society—as a natural result of the presence of societal blocs opposed to Christ that hinder America’s faith journey.

It is as though the Lord desired for these families to come and live within American society in full godliness, faith, and prayer, engaged in continuous spiritual struggle, becoming a significant cause and a powerful help in influencing these communities to hold fast to the Lord and to preserve the principles of diligent faith and the power of prayer within the United States of America.

The ministry has been shaped and enriched by spiritual fathers, pastors, and men of God who contributed through their ministries, counsel, writings, and participation, so that this ministry might fulfill the purpose for which it was established.

The Vision

The *Raise the Champions* ministry exists to serve all believers and Christian servants around the world, with a special focus on Arab communities living within American society, in order to make a difference in their lives inside the United States through the power of the presence and proclamation of the Kingdom of Jesus.

This is accomplished by encouraging them, walking with them, and discipling them to rise into the calling placed on their lives—as God’s chosen ones to be within American society—so that they may influence it by their faith and not be influenced by it. As a body and a mission to this land, we seek to enthrone Jesus in every area where we move, thereby establishing spiritual balance within the heavenly realms.

Our Faith

Nicene Creed
**“Truly, we believe in one God, God the Father, the Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
We believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all ages; Light of Light, true God of true God; begotten, not created; of one essence with the Father, through whom all things were made.
Who, for us humans and for our salvation, came down from heaven, and was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and of the Virgin Mary, and became man.
He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate, suffered, was buried, and rose from the dead on the third day according to the Scriptures.
He ascended into the heavens and sat at the right hand of His Father, and He shall come again in His glory to judge the living and the dead, whose kingdom shall have no end.

Yes, we believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Life-Giver, who proceeds from the Father; we worship and glorify Him with the Father and the Son.
Who spoke through the prophets.
And in one holy, catholic (universal), and apostolic Church.
We confess one baptism for the remission of sins, and we look for the resurrection of the dead and the life of the age to come. Amen.”**

The Holy Bible

We believe in the power of God’s Word in the Holy Bible and that it is the divinely inspired constitution of this heavenly Kingdom. We believe it is inspired by God and inerrant, written by holy men of God as they were moved by the Holy Spirit, in sixty-six books. We believe it is the living and active Word of God, God’s complete revelation to humanity, and that it is fully sufficient for a person to know the truth concerning salvation, conduct, the knowledge of God, and a relationship with Him. **[References: 2 Tim. 3:16–17; 2 Pet. 1:21; Heb. 4:12]*

God

We believe in one God—eternal, everlasting, self-existent, and almighty. We believe that God is three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and that the three Persons are equal in all divine attributes. We believe the three Persons are distinct without separation (each Person has particular works that are not attributed to the others, such as the incarnation of the Son), and united without confusion. [References: Deut. 6:4; Ps. 90:2; Matt. 28:19; 1 Tim. 2:5; 1 John 4:4]

Jesus Christ

We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as the Person of the Son, united in essence (from eternity to eternity) with the Father and the Holy Spirit, equal to them in all divine attributes. We believe in His deity—that He is eternal, everlasting, omnipotent, omniscient, and that all things were made through Him. We believe in His humanity—that since His incarnation He is both God and Man at the same time. In the fullness of time, He took a real human body, without sin, formed in the womb of the Virgin Mary by the Holy Spirit. As a man, He knew no sin. We believe that His deity never departed from His humanity; He is one Person. We believe that He died in the flesh on the cross for our sins, rose from the dead on the third day in a glorified body, ascended into heaven, and sat at the right hand of the Father to intercede continually for believers. We believe that salvation is found in no one else, and that He is the Head of the Church (the true believers everywhere throughout all ages). **[References: John 1:1, 14; Phil. 2:6; Matt. 18:1–23; Luke 1:35; 1 John 3:5; 1 Cor. 15:3–5; Heb. 9:8, 24; 1 John 2:1; Acts 4:12]**

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the power of the Holy Spirit, living and active today in the world, filling believers with power for service confirmed by the Holy Word. We believe He is a Person equal to the Father and the Son, united with them in the one essence. We believe He convicts the sinner and leads him to repentance, gives new birth as a child of God with a new nature, and dwells in every believer. We also believe in the experience of being filled with the Holy Spirit for power to overcome sin and for fruitful witness to the Lord Jesus. We believe in the fruit and gifts of the Holy Spirit given to believers for the edification of the Church, and that the Holy Spirit works in believers for the glory of the Lord Jesus. **[References: Acts 5:3–4; John 16:8; John 7:37–39; 1 Cor. 12:1–11; Acts 2:4; Gal. 5:22–23; 1 Cor. 12; John 14:16]**

Humanity

We believe that every human being is born with a corrupt nature inherited from Adam after the fall; therefore, every person has committed sins that make him deserving of the second death—eternal destruction. We believe that a person cannot save himself from this punishment by his own works. **[References: Gen. 3; Ps. 51:5; Rom. 3:10–12; Rom. 5:12; Rev. 20:11–15; Titus 3:5]**

Salvation

We believe that salvation from eternal punishment is by grace, a free gift from God granted solely on the basis of Christ’s complete atonement. We believe that a sinner receives salvation through heartfelt faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; when he turns from his sins and receives the Lord, his sins are forgiven, he is born again, becomes a child of God, and a temple of the Holy Spirit. We believe it is God’s will that all people come to Him, be saved, and come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Tim. 2:4). We believe that the power of His Kingdom comes upon all gatherings of believers who seek His presence: “Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” The power of God’s Kingdom brings salvation to souls, deliverance to the bound, healing to the sick, and resurrection to the dead. No limits set by the world or by Satan can stand before the power of God’s Kingdom. **[References: Eph. 2:8; John 3:16–18; Rom. 3:24–25; John 1:12–13]**

The Church

We believe in the Church as the Bride and the Body of Christ on earth, encompassing all true believers worldwide from every denomination and background. We also believe in the local church (the community of believers in a specific area) as a place of living worship, preparation, growth, and launching into powerful service. We believe in the spiritual leadership of the Church, given through the grace Christ has bestowed upon the Body in leadership functions that flow from wisdom from above (Eph. 4:1–12). We believe in the Great Commission to serve all nations to the ends of the earth, so that every nation, people, and tongue may hear the good news in Christ, repent, and be saved from hell by the power of the resurrection Spirit in Christ. We believe it is God’s will to continually move believers from one level to a better and stronger one through a genuine relationship with Him and abiding in His presence (2 Cor. 3:18). Therefore, change in the believer’s life is the normal state: “from glory to glory,” “from strength to strength,” and “from faith to faith.” Spiritual progression is the normal path in Kingdom life that the Lord works in His Church. A consecrated and awakened heart, a life of holiness, humility, and sincere faith are foundational to this journey.

The Unseen World

We believe in the existence of angels, and we also believe in the existence of Satan and his kingdom. We believe that angels are servants of God who come to our world to support and protect believers. We believe that the forces of Satan’s kingdom fight against believers, seeking to rob them of their privileges, bind them with sin and weakness, and hinder their success. What gives these forces opportunity is a believer’s continued welcome of sin or failure to resist it. We believe that the believer has authority over Satan and his kingdom, because the believer’s position is higher—seated with Christ in the heavenly realms. Therefore, the believer can cast out evil spirits in the name of Christ and resist Satan, taking up the armor of God, and he will flee. The believer must exercise this authority to live in victory. **[References: Heb. 1:14; Eph. 4:17; Deut. 28:48; 1 Thess. 2:18; Luke 19:10; Eph. 1:20–22; Eph. 6:11; Mark 16:17; James 4:7]**

The Second Coming

We believe in the second coming of Christ, who will take His Church with Him into glory. He will reign and judge unbelievers with eternal judgment, while believers will stand before His judgment seat, where each one will give an account of his life and stewardship. **[References: Matt. 24:42; Acts 1:11; John 14:1–4]**
